The alive + well dog project is about raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
It's amazing to think that something that started by accident, and was run from the kitchen table, has turned into a huge media and art-world event. So much so, that a selection of some of the high-profile contributors, both artists and celebrities, will be auctioned at The Hospital Club and Gallery on the 31st of January, hosted by Olly Barker the director of contemporary art at Sotheby's.
The auction is the tip of the iceberg and there are many ways for people to be involved. The canvases not to be sold by live auction will be sold by silent auction i.e. you can bid on them at the exhibition or by clicking here.
You'll see that if you run your pointer over a canvas in the online gallery the estimate or current bid price will come up. This is updated frequently. Bid higher or put in a absentee bid (this is explained more fully in the bidding form).
The exhibition is free and open to all at The Hospital Club Gallery between the 26th of January to 7th of February. Call 020 7170 9100 for viewing times. The 9 by 12 inch canvases are even more amazing to see in real life so come and see them.
